Tim Ritchie is from the Clans of Wirangu / Kokatha and Dunhgatti Groups of South Australia and New South Wales. His parents come from Ceduna and Kempsey.
Tim has been involved with training & education for more than twenty years, within the public sector and community organisations, ranging from an apprentice to his current position Artistic and Cultural Director - Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute. Tim has always had a keen interest in creative art which ranges from carving wood into Aboriginal artefacts, pottery, assorted paintings and more.
He acknowledges his family and heritage, but in particular his sister Terry and brother Bill who have over many years inspired him to dabble in art and become a strong advocate in supporting Aboriginal artists.
