In an exciting move for Tandanya and as part of the Tarnanthi Festival, more than 40 art centres from across Australia will be represented at Festival’s opening weekend, in Adelaide’s first national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Fair
Co-programmed with the Festival for Design and Architecture, Festival-goers will have a rare opportunity to buy works of art priced from $50 and more than $10,000 directly from artists and art centres showcased in a single gallery.
TARNANTHI is being championed by the Premier Jay Weatherill who said “As a creative, industrious and innovative state, South Australia seeks to lead the nation through its festivals and events, and TARNANTHI represents a significant milestone in achieving that objective. I commend the artists featured in TARNANTHI to anyone seeking to better understand the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.”
