24 October 2009

Rymill Park Extn from 10am

Tandanya is celebrating 20 years in October 2009 with the inaugural Tandanya Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Fair on 24th October on the Rymill Park extension (next door to Tandanya). This is a free all day event for you to enjoy, experience, take part in and most of all to help us celebrate!

The Arts Fair will be a vibrant event celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visual arts as a vital, living and important cultural practice. Works will be on display outside with each artist in attendance to present and sell their works. More than 40 artists will be there on the day, including Sam Lester, Heather Shearer, Conrad Blackman and Christopher Burthurmarr Crebbin as well as artists from the APY Lands, Ceduna Arts and Crafts and Mimili Maku Arts. Kaurna Plains School students will also be exhibiting their latest artworks.
